21st December, 1934.
Dear Dr. Oldham,
Lord Plymouth, who has just gone away for Christmas,
has asked me to thank you for your letter of the 19th
December in which you rive valuable information about the
Bishop of Victoria in connection with his letter to the
Secretary of State asking him to review the Nullah murder
case.
Ia view of the fact that the prerogative of mercy
as been delegated by lis Majesty to the Governor the
Secretary of State felt unable to intervene in thecase, and
a telegram has been sent to the Governor asking him to inform
the Bishop to that effect.
Yours very truly,
Dr. J.H.Oldham, M.A., D.D.
sd. T.W. Davies.
Private Secretary.
